Visit Spokane Washington and you will find the iconic and beautiful Clock tower. The Great Northern railroad came to Spokane in 1892. The depot and tower were built on Havermale Island in the Spokane River at a cost of $150,000. It was completed in 1902. The Great Northern Depot was the finest railroad depot west of Chicago. It was made with pressed brick and trimmed with native sandstone and it is a beautiful example of the industrial age of Spokane.

This painting was inspired by the clock tower. It is a watercolor painted on 300lb watercolor paper.

Many years ago I had the pleasure of travelling to the island of Madeira. A beautiful island in the Pacific. While there I painted this painting. It was inspired by my travels driving up and down the mountain roads of Madeira. This watercolor I did when I stopped  infront of the town's church in  the village of Seixal.

Enjoy a boat ride on Lago De Garda and enjoy beautiful examples of 18th century water front homes that edge this beautiful lake.
